Annie Tanetta Johansen Sorensen, age 87, died June 17, 1997 at Delta.

Born July 28, 1908 at Mt. Pleasant to Kimbal and Isa Minda Crow Johansen. Married Ivan Sorensen, July 27, 1929 at Salt Lake City. He died April 17, 1989. Moved to Delta in 1920. In 1961 they moved to Salt Lake City. She was a long time employee of ZCMI. Her greatest pleasures were her husband and family. Afghans, quilts and many acts of kindness were shared by all who knew her. She was a member of the DUP. Devoted member of LDS Church, holding many positions from age 12 to 87 in the Young Womens, Primary, Relief Society and many stake positions.Survived by daughters: Barbara (Derral) Christensen, Delta; Elaine (Bryan) Renstrom, Salt Lake City; Joan (Andy) Harrison, Sandy; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one granddaughter, one grandson.

Her family extends their thanks and appreciation for the loving care given to her by the doctors, nurses and staff at the West Millard Care Center.

Funeral services Fri, June 20, 1997, 11 a.m., East Mill Creek 11th Ward, 2702 E. Evergreen Avenue, Salt Lake City. Friends call at the Church 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial in Wasatch Lawn Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary, Delta, Utah.
