Virgil Basham, 76, retired farmer of Grandview, died Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. F. R. Davis of Venus.
He also was father of Mrs. G. B. Stoker of 2400 Eastridge.
Basham had lived in Johnson County most of his life.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. M. M. Shropshire of Lyons, Kan.; three sons, Toy and Ernest Basham, both of Grandview, and Kermit Basham of Venus; four sisters, Mrs. Gertie Bowles of Fort Worth, Mrs. E. A. West of Alvarado and Mrs. John Brown and Mrs. L. D. Rigsby, both of Grandview, and two brothers, J. H. and Walter Basham, both of Grandview.
Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church at Grandview. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
