Clarence Thomes, 90, Sperry, died November 3, 1991, at Bethesda Care Center, Mediapolis.
Born August 2, 1901, in Benton Township, Des Moines County, he was the son of Albert and Mary Granaman Thomes. He married Pearl Wunnenberg in 1922. She died in February 1956.
He farmed in Des Moines County for many years and was a member of the Des Moines County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include one,daughter, Genevieve Mellinger, Sperry; three grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Mediapolis, as desired.
The funeral for Mr. Thomes will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Reverend Lexie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery, Mediapolis.
