Carolyn Jean Greer was born October 5th, 1940 in Lonoke, Arkansas and passed away August 15th, 2016 in Richardson, Texas surrounded by loved ones. A memorial will be held on September 4th, 2016 at 3:00PM at her daughters house where a minister will speak. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
Carolyn Greer was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born in Arkansas but grew up in the Dallas area where she and her sisters were raised by their mother. She married in 1956 and had three wonderful children that she raised all over the country and over-seas as a military wife. Traveling overseas with her family gave her an interesting perspective that shaped who she was and how she viewed the world. Eventually she eventually moved to Canyon, Texas where she was a successful business owner for 20 years before moving back to the Dallas area in 2011. She was a kind and compassionate person and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. You couldn’t help but laugh with her when she told a story because she would start laughing before she could even finish. Her memory and stories will live on through her family and those who knew her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by Otis Lee Harless (father), Amy Greer (granddaughter), Gladys Harless (mother), Pat Norris (sister), Alice Millen (sister), Rick Greer (son), Dustin Greer (grandson), Richard Greer (husband). Carolyn is survived by Donna Robertson (daughter), Justin Greer (son), Mary Wallace (sister), Crystal Rodriguez (granddaughter), Brittany Harper (granddaughter), Lorin Greer-Cardona (granddaughter), Lindsey Robertson (granddaughter), Cameron Salls (grandson), Lindsey Greer (granddaughter), Dalton Greer (grandson), Sadie Greer, Devin Greer, Kylie Rodriguez, and Natalie Rodriguez (great-grand children).
