A Celebration of Life for Mr. Marvin Ray Mason, 53 of of Decatur, AL. will be 1:00 pm, Sunday at North Courtland PB Church with Pastor Jimmy White officiating and inhumation to follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Marvin Ray Mason was born in Decatur, AL on August 26, 1962, to the late Virginia Mays and the late Tom Burgess.
He attended school in Decatur, AL. He confessed Christ at an early age at St. Stephen P.B. Church in Decatur, AL. He was a driver for Averitt Express for 22 years. He was married to his loving wife, Loreen for 31 years.
His memory will always be in the hearts of his wife; Loreen Mason; his favorite daughter, Marteasha (Antonio) Gray of Trinity, AL; four sons: Shun (Jennifer) Cunningham of Florence, AL, Marvin (Lana) Mason, Jr. of Calera, AL, Khadereau K.D. (Ziesha) Mason of Florence, AL and Austyn Mason of Phoenix, AZ; one brother: Byron (Lasonja) Mason, of Montgomery, AL; five sisters, Mary (Mitchell) Warren, Ellen Thompson, Brenda (Al) Coleman, Jewel Mason and Damita (Clarence) Adkins, all of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be cousins and Flower Bearers will be nieces and cousins.
