He was born July 21,1933 in Athens County, the son of the late Ruben Winchell and Viola (Coleman)Winchell.
He married Delores (Chilcote) Winchell,who passed away previouly.
Charles was an Army Vetern and served in Hawaii during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons,Robert and Ronald, one daughter Sheila, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at a later date at the convence of the family. In accordance with Charles wishes, he has been cremated.
Military graveside services will be performed by the combined Color Gaurd, also at a later date.
Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville
