Aledo - Mrs. Alice Kerch of Preemption, 75, died last night at 11 o'clock in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mitchell in Millersburg, following a 14-month illness.
Mrs. Kerch was born Jan. 3, 1869, in Eliza township, daughter of Andrew and Clara Nelson, and was the last survivor of a family of eight children. She was married to L. H. Kerch and the family home was in Mercer county until 1913, when they moved to Wilkin county, Minn. Mr. Kerch died in 1930 and the family returned to Mercer in 1931.
Surviving are five sons, Carl and Lewis at home, Oren of Reynolds, Archie of Doran, Minn., and John, in service overseas; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Shelstad of Doran, Minn., Mrs. Karl Kuehn of Breckenridge, Minn., and Mrs. Mitchell of Millersburg; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The body was removed to Freytag mortuary in Reynolds.
