Nancy Van Demark Bray

Nancy Van Demark Bray, 77, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She was born in Newark, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy Moffett Van Demark. Nancy lived in Belleville and Newton before moving to Toms River in 1971, and Beachwood in 2011. She was a graduate of Belleville High School and Berkeley Secretarial School She worked as a secretary for Dr. Edgar Cardwell of Newark, and later for Ohio Casualty Insurance Company and Dr. Kenneth Moss DVM, both of Toms River.
Nancy was a member of Gloria Chapter #159 Order of the Eastern Star, Toms River, and Past Mother Advisor of Holly Assembly #59 International Order of Rainbow for Girls, also of Toms River. She was a Brownie Leader and taught Sunday school. Nancy was a warm and friendly person that was always willing to help others.
Nancy was predeceased by her grandson Donald Duncan Fischer Bray. She is survived by her loving husband Donald P. V. Bray of Beachwood, NJ; her son Dr. Donald Bray DVM and his wife Denise Fischer of Corinth, TX; two daughters: Susan Regan and her husband John of Humble, TX, and Lori Wall and her husband Christopher of Beachwood, NJ. Also surviving is her sister Judith Schmitt and her husband Gregory of Medina, TX; six grandchildren: Michael Regan and his wife Jennifer of Kingwood, TX, Stephanie Regan of Kapaa, HI, Devin and Dixen Bray of Corinth, TX, Megan and Samantha Wall of Beachwood, NJ; her aunt; Janet Muller of Brick, NJ; and many extended family members. Nancy will be dearly missed by her family.
Visitation will be Friday, September 16th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:30PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Nancy's name to The Alzheimer's Association , 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
