Edith Bond Barnett, 94, of Sayville, LI, died peacefully on December 31, 2015. Raised in Sayville, Edith was the daughter of Margaret and Reverend Joseph Bond, longtime Rector at St. Ann's Episcopal Church in Sayville and step-daughter of Helen Robb Bond. Edith graduated from Sayville High School in 1938 and went on to attend Stratford College. She worked for several years for McGraw-Hill in Manhattan where she would meet her husband, Raymond Barnett. Edith lived for many years in Sufferin, New York, before returning to Sayville in 1999.

Mrs. Barnett was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 2003. She is survived by Raymond's daughter, Carol Lennox and her husband Wally, of Chicago, her two brothers, Thomas Bond and his wife Ethyl and Joseph Bond, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives will gather 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, January 3rd at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A funeral service will be celebrated at St. Ann's Episcopal Church on Monday, January 4th at 11 a.m. and a private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Ann's Episcopal Church, 262 Middle Road, Sayville, New York 11782, are appreciated.
