Ross Miller, age 75 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Belvidere on June 30, 1941 to the late Charlie and Ada Stephens Miller. Ross worked in the truck transportation industry as an oversized load escort driver and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Polly Ann Shelly; brothers, J.D. Miller, Elder Miller, and Everett Miller. Ross is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Miller of Decherd; sisters, Edith Marie (Delmer) Stone of Belvidere, and Retha Johnson of Winchester; brother, R.L. (Catherine) Miller of Decherd; two step-children, Wendy Slone and Michael Brewer; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Thursday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
