Timothy "Tim" Ralph Rose, went in peace and with great joy to be with his Lord and Savior Sept. 8, 2016, at his home in Palmetto Bay, Fla. Born May 13, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama to James and Mary Rose, Tim grew up in Miami. He went to Miami Christian School and was a devoted member of Shenandoah Presbyterian Church. He went to Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi and got his master's degree at the University of South Alabama. Tim was a teacher in Mississippi and later returned to Miami to teach at Westminster Christian School. He began a new career as a financial planner for IDS, later Ameriprise. Tim enjoyed lecturing at East Ridge on words from the Bible, working in the nursery at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, and serving on the Board of Directors of Westminster. He later enjoyed being in the Men's Bible study and was thrilled to retire. He devoted himself to teaching adult Sunday School classes. He was a wonderful teacher and had people who were avid fans of his courses. He was known for his kindness, great advice, and excellent cooking. He is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne; three loving daughters, Jennifer (JP), Elizabeth, and Ginger; grandsons, Jackson and Gianni; brothers, Paul (Lori) and John (Shantel); and sister, Rebecca (Carl). Tim has now been welcomed into Heaven by his brother, Jim; sister, Beth; and mother, Mary ("Meme"). He died near his wife, Suzanne, who loved only him for 44 years, and his final words were her name. There will be a celebration of his life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, 14401 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33158.
