Funeral Rites for Mrs. Johnson Held Monday Afternoon

R,ocky Branch, Sept. 10 - Mrs. Minnie Sue Johnson, nee Ferguson, widow of the late L. M. B. Johnson, died Sunday, September 3, following a protracted illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Pace, Rocky Branch.

Mrs. Johnson, a well-known and beloved resident of Bernice and Dubach for many years, was originally a native of old Shiloh community. During her younger and more active years, she was widely known for her selfless and untiring ministration of the ill and less fortunate of her neighbors.

She is survived by two brother:
Arthur Ferguson of Bernice
David Berguson of Bernice
Three Sisters:
Mrs. Maud Swofford of Ruston
Mrs. Jane Milner of Bernice
Mrs. Emma Pratt of Bernice
Two sons:
O. E. Johnson of Ruston
Jewel T. Johnson of Shreveport
One daughter:
Mrs. Arthur Pace of Rocky Branch

As well as numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was 77 years of age at the time of her demise.

The funeral, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, was held at Pisgah Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m., Monday, September 9, with the Rev. B. C. Smith officiating.

Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery.
