Jimmy Fred Mack, age 73, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016.

He was born on June 2, 1943 in Kirby, the son of Leonard J. Mack and Ruby Viola Stevens Mack. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Mack; and his parents. On December 31, 2004, he was married to Sheila Simmons.

Jimmy was retired from Arkansas Best Freight where he was shop foreman. He was a 1961 graduate of Kirby High School and enjoyed traveling. He especially liked hunting with all of the Mack brothers, playing his guitar and singing.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Mack of Glenwood; his daughter, Lana Faith Taylor and her husband, Dan, of Olathe, Kansas; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two step-children, Shawn LaFevers of Glenwood and Elizabeth Bright of Hot Springs; six siblings and their spouses, Margaret Ward, Jerry and Dee Mack, Mary Mack, Dewayne and Janice Mack, Dewight and Laura Mack, all of Kirby and Travis and Theresa Mack of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Doyen Alexander officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mount Joy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Allen, Simon Mack, Glenn Mack, Phillip Mack, Trey Shelton, Mike Ward and Paul Ward.

Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Glenwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
