He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of D.A.V., past President of Jeffersonville-GRC Little League and Jeffersonville Youth Football League.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Yeates, father, James Garrett, step-father, Sam Yeates, brothers, Dennis and Butch Garrett, sisters, Wanda Barrient and Eda Moreland.
Surviving are, wife, Linda L. Gramlin Garrett, Jeffersonville, Indiana, son's, Tony (Laura) Garrett, Jr., Sellersburg, Indiana, Mike Garrett, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Sam (Tracey) Garrett, Texas, daughter, Joan (Joshua) Little, Jeffersonville, Indiana, grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick, Jacob, Isabelle, Alexander and Clover.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5PM.
