Entering the sanctuary of another pioneer home of Albany, death claimed one more of the early day citizens of Shackelford County when W. R. Hammer succumbed to a long illness here Monday morning. He passes away at 84, having been confined to his bed for several weeks suffering a stroke of paralysis.
