Pat Griggs, 79, of Kirbyville died Saturday, December 9, at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. A native of Boyle, Mississippi, she had lived in Kirbyville 60 years and was a retired school teacher with the Kirbyville School District. Survivors include a son, Joe Griggs of Jasper; a daughter, Mary Brackin and husband Danny of Kirbyville; a brother, Rev. Bob Bateman and wife Juanell of Meritt Island, Florida; a sister, Florrie Fagan and husband Rudy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Heather and Barry Blackwell, Ben Griggs, Gage and Kati Brackin, and Anna Brackin; and 3 great grandchildren, Jeremy, Kaelyn, and Ava. .
