Charles Richard Batchelor, 65, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center.
Richard was born July 29, 1950 in High Point, NC, son of the late, Clarence Arthur Batchelor and Halcia Gray Armentrout Batchelor.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane Combs Batchelor originally of Winchester, VA; four children, Charles R. Batchelor, II of Wilmington, NC, Marion Crotts (David) and Brittany Shea (Dan), all of High Point, NC, and Aaron Skiles (Sherry) of Wilmington, NC; seven grandchildren; a brother, John Batchelor of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; and one nephew, John Richard Batchelor.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Andrews Market Street Chapel, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC with Fr. Robert J. Kus officiating.
Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org , or to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
