Dee was born Nov. 20, 1932, to Margie and Floyd Nichols, of Joplin, where she lived all of her life until recent years when she alternated between Joplin and St. Petersburg.
Dee was known to exhibit a feisty spirit, but was also extremely compassionate on the inside. She loved her family, cooking, clothes and shoes, flea markets, and hunting for collectibles. She will be deeply missed.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Edgar Hunt; son, Charles Ronald "Ron" Hunt; parents, Margie Hensley Nichols and Floyd L. Nichols, and brother, Richard Lee Nichols, all of Joplin.
Dee is survived by her husband and dear companion of 21 years, Cliff Stout, St. Petersburg; son, Dennis Randy Hunt (Marla), Little Rock, Ark.; grandson, Brian Hunt (Dyan) and great-grandson, Ethan Hunt, Fayetteville, Ark.; and granddaughter, Heather Hunt; and great-grandsons, Isaac and Elyja Green, of Tulsa, Okla. Other survivors include Beverly DeMasters (Murel); brothers, Dennis Nichols, Joplin, and Floyd Nichols, Neosho; niece, Kim Hunt Anderson, of Trenton; and nephews, Doug Hunt and Heath Nichols, of Joplin, Jason Nichols (Christina), of Neosho; as well as an extended family. She is also survived by seven caring stepchildren: Dallas Stout Carroll (Dan Gregorio), Debby Stout Kuensis (Marco), Loretta Stout, Sam Stout, and Robin Stout Robbins (Jack), all of Florida, Clifford Stout Jr. (Teresa), of Alabama, Cheri Stout Nania (Roy), of Illinois; and many dear step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Following cremation, in Florida, a private interment service will be held in the future at Osborn Cemetery, in Joplin.
