He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 22, 1875, a son of the late Harris and Emma Lyon.
Dr. Lyon graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical College in 1904 and interned in South Side Hospital there.
He practiced in Philippi, W. Va., and Belington, W. Va., before going to Parsons to practice in 1922.
For the past five year, Dr. Lyon has been a member of the staff of Tucker County Hsopital as an anesthetist.
He had served as Tucker County health officer for five terms.
He was a member of Pythagoras Lodge No. 128. A. P. and A. M.; a member of the River City Club here for 20 years, a charter member of the Parsons Chamber of Commerce, an officer of the Tri-County Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
Surviving are his widow, the former Maude Walters, one son, Addison Lyon, Portsmouth, Va., two grandchildren and a brother, Dr. H. F. Lynn, Pittsburgh.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in the Greenlief Funeral Home, Parsons, by Rev. Harold D. Shifflet and Rev. Robert O. I.urke.
Burial in Parsons City Cemetery will be in charge of the Masonic Lodge and members of the Tri-County Medical Society will serve as honorary pallbearers.
