Rev. Dr. Maurice Newton Adams, 86, widow of Mary Lou Murray Adams, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Stanton Nursing Center. He was born April 5, 1930 in Camden Ohio to the late Isaac and Gertrude Beech Adams. He was a retired minister. Survivors include, sons, Roy E. and wife, Marilyn Adams, New London, NC, Donald M. and wife, Ann Adams, Inverness, FL, Stephen and wife, Anna Carol Adams, Stanton, Doug and wife, Cathy Adams, Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughters, Rhonda Brewer Payne Homosassa, FL, Mary Davis Shepherd and husband, Wayne Shepherd, Clay City, and Kay and husband, Tony Rice, Stanton; 23 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchild. Services Tuesday, September 13, 11:00AM at Harvestime Assembly, 460 East College Avenue, Stanton by Rev. Douglas Adams, Rev. Ronald Gene Johns, and Rev. Tony Story. Visitation Monday after 5:00PM at the church. Burial in Stanton Cemetery with Robin Stokley, Faron Davis, Stephen Adams II, Cody Adams, Anthony Rice, and Carlos Rice.
