Amy is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Harold Howard, Sr.; two sons, James H. Howard, Jr. of Clyde, North Carolina and Jameel Kalimah and his wife Stephanie of Rowlett, Texas; her daughter, Sonetra Howard, of Chantilly, Virginia; a brother-in-law, Henry Dalton of Waynesville, North Carolina; her sister, Nancy Wheeler, of Waynesville; her sister-in-law, Patricia Bouknight-Hamilton and her husband, James of Perryville, Maryland.
