Brown High School prior to joining the U.S. Air Force. he retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol in Salisbury where he was a Telecommunications Center Supervisor. he was a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Bullock Bible Class where he was the treasurer from many years.
he loved lawn work and working in his garden. he enjoying surf fishing at Kure Beach and loved to watch it rain. he also had a talent to repair anything for his friends and family.
