Sherry Hope Rose, of Berry Creek, CA, age 53 years, passed away in Stockton on Saturday, November 6, 2004. She was born in Kennet, Missouri on June 8, 1951, and also resided in Rector, Arkansas area as a young girl. Later her family moved to the Los Angeles area, and in 1968 they moved to Stockton. In 1969 she met and was married to Ron Rose on September 27th in Salida. They made their home in Stockton, and later moved to Sacramento for a brief time. In 1978 they moved to Oroville and then to Berry Creek in 1980 where they built their new home and raised their family. She was a member of the Salida Primitive Baptist Church, and she enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother, family get togethers, singing church songs, and making macrame plant holders. She is survived by her husband, Ron Rose of Berry Creek; son, two daughters; 4 grandchildren; her mother, Pauline Horton. She
was preceded in death by her father, Charles H. Horton; sister, Robin Horton and brother, Kevin Horton. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, November 11, 2004, 1:00 p.m. in Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane in Lodi, CA., with Pastor Charles Pardon officiating. Committal will follow at the cemetery. Visitation will be at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way near Beckman Road in Lodi, on Wednesday, November 10, from
1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Sherry Rose Fund, c/o Union Safe Deposit Bank, P.O. Box 91, Lockeford, CA 95237. Services are under the direction of Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home.
