MRS. OTIS MOORMAN DEAD
The first intimation that Ord relatives had that Mrs. Otis Moorman was not in her usual health was the message received Tuesday morning that she could not live. Her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holman started for the home at Sargent at once but before they could arrive there the spirit of their daughter had flown, death resulting from heart failure after a couple days illness. The husband and five children, the oldest 13 years and the youngest four and a half months are left of the immediate family to mourn the going of a devoted wife and mother. There is also a sister Mrs. E. L. Bohannon of Ord, and two brothers, Alfred Holman of North Platte, and W. J. Holman of Montana, besides the aged father and mother. Of the children four are boys and the eldest and only girl is an adopted child.
Emily Holman was born October 16, 1883 near Ord. She was married to Otis Moorman in 1891 [sic], much of their married life being spent in this vicinity. For the past few years they have lived in Sargent. She early joined the M. E. Church and has been a faithful worker in the WCTU. Her going leaves a home desolate and a family of little children who can never know the beauty of mother love. The family has the sympathy of the community, both here and where she lived. The body was brought to Ord this morning and buried in the family lot in the local cemetery.
