Richard Dickie Emerson, 65 of Memphis, IN passed away on Sunday September 11, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on September 27, 1950 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Bob and Myrtle Looney Emerson. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 335 in Charlestown, IN and was a retired welder and pipefitter for Colgate Palmolive where he worked for 40 years. He also had worked for Jeff Boat.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Emerson; sons, Brian J. Emerson of Memphis and Josh S. Emerson of Sellersburg, IN; brothers, Robert Emerson of Modesto, CA, Paul Ison of Clarksville, IN, Dexter Ison and Bill Waddel both of Sellersburg; sisters, Sondra Robison of Leesburg, FL and Vicky Lutts of Charlestown; grandchildren, Devon Emerson, Collin Emerson, Christopher Emerson and Rhealyn Emerson.
Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

They had just celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary.
