Toady was born in April 1935 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to N.C. and Geraldine (Carter) Wilson.
She grew up on the Wilson Farm just outside of Prairie Grove with a loving and large family.
She married Raymond T. Edwards on March 3, 1956.
R.T. and Toady made their home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for many years until they returned to Prairie Grove.
Toady loved both of her hometowns, Prairie Grove and Fayetteville. She spent many years working for the Fayetteville Housing Authority and she served on many boards and preservation committees. She was an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove. Toady's home always had an open invitation waiting and a meal on the stove for anyone who was hungry, especially when there was a Razorback game in town.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 59 years.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Bart W. Edwards (and his wife, Susan "Suzy") of Forest, Virginia; grandchildren, Rollans "Rollie" W. Edwards, and Carter Lee Edwards; her two sisters, Faye Kittrell (and her husband, Charles) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Susan Swab of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Carmen Kittrell Weaver, Niki Kittrell Vos, Chuck Kittrell, Kari Bell Swartz, Will Bell, Margret Ann Bolen, Charles Feild, David Feild, Jean Feild Camp, Linda Oliver Horton, and Kathy Oliver Holt.
A Memorial service will be held on December 31, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church in Prairie Grove.
Interment will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
