Esther Watson

Esther A. (Bruno) Watson, 82, of Dunbar, peacefully entered her eternal rest on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Always Care Personal Home, Connellsville, after a brief illness. She was born August 3, 1934 in Lemont, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Rosemary Bruno. Esther was a graduate of Dunbar Twp. High School Class of 1952 and was a former part-time employee for Marietta’s Newstand, Thrift Drug, and Pechin’s and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church and a CCD Instructor for many years. She had much love and affection for her CCD students who all brought her joy and happiness in return. She is survived by daughter, Susan Watson, of Dunbar, and granddaughter, Rebecca Cunningham, of Uniontown; and sisters, Laureen Nicholson and husband, Bob, and Mary Pat Pastors and husband , George, of Dunbar, and Regina Hughes (wife of the late Sturge Hughes) of Farmington. In addition to her parents, Esther was predeceased in death by her husband William L. Watson (who would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on September 5th), and daughter Mary Ellen Watson. Many thanks and much appreciation is extended to Esther’s caring family Zaka Ullah and Staff at Always Care Personal Care Home and to Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10th, at St. Aloysius Church, 459 Ranch Road, Dunbar, where a funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverand Micah Zozoil as celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery under the direction of Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home 123 S. 1st. St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution in memory of Esther Watson can be sent to St. Aloysius CCD Program, 459 Ranch Road, Dunbar, PA 15431.
