Solomon Cole, was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Hargrave) Cole. Solomon was "of Lyss, in the county of Southampton." He was born 8 Jan 1547, baptized 12 Jan 1547, and buried at Lyss 23 Nov 1629. He married Mary Deering, the daughter and heiress of Thomas Deering, of Lyss, esq., and they had five sons and two daughters:
1. Thomas, married Mary Waller, had five sons, two daughters
2. Henry, married first Susan Michelborne, had Solomon and Anne. Second wife ___ Fountleroy and had a son Thomas b.1627, William b.1628/9, and Mary b.1631/2.
3. John, went to Ireland about 1614.
4. Solomon, Groom of the Queen's Crossbows and Lime Hounds.
5. George, b.1599, died in Holland.
6. Mary, second wife of John Ady, had two sons, Thomas and Solomon, and two daughters, Anne and Rose.
7. Winefred, married John Wood of Surrey.
