Vivian Jenkins Bryant, age 72, of Chilhowie, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her residence. She was born on May 14, 1944, to the late Zeke Jenkins and Emma Oliver Jenkins. Vivian will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She attended Lincoln Hill Baptist Church and retired from K-VA-T Food Services. Vivian loved to crochet and watch Food Network. She is survived by four sons, Tim Bryant and wife, Beverly, Stanley Bryant and wife, Tanja, Mark Bryant, and Glen Bryant and wife, Joanna, all of Chilhowie, Va.; three brothers, Earl Jenkins of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jim Jenkins and wife, Judy of Chilhowie, Va., and Chester Jenkins and wife, Ann of Glade Spring, Va.; sister, Irene Prater and husband, Larry of Meadowview, Va.; two grandchildren, Rachel Lynn Bryant, and Olivia Lea Bryant, both of Chilhowie, Va.; best friend, Patsy Robins of Meadowview, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. A funeral ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Forest Hills Chapel with Pastor Otis Barker and Pastor Warren Wilson officiating. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery where Chad Jenkins, Jason Jenkins, Marcus Jenkins, Johnny Berry, Bob Myers, and Mark Richardson will serve as pallbearers. Granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to convene at the Forest Hills Chapel by 9 a.m. Tuesday to travel in procession to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sherry Smith of Humana.
