Robest was the son of Archibald Beattie and Mary Emogene J. Latson Beattie. He married Emma Jane Sopp.

ROBERT E. BEATTIE
Robert E. Beattie of Hamburg, Michigan, passed away Saturday, February 26, in Howell at the age of 93 years, four months and seven days.
Mr. Beattie was born on a farm in Genoa township on October 19, 1861, and lived there all his life until he retired about two years ago when he moved to Hamburg.
On March 21, 1894, he was united in marriage to Emma J. Sopp, to which union two children were born: Viola M. (Mrs.Carlyle Darroch) and Marion E. Beattie. The first wife preceded him in death.
On February 23, 1923, he was united in marriage to Anna Zeeb, who survives him. Also left are the two daughters and his sister, Miss Anna L. Beattie of Howell, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon from the Schnackenberg funeral home with Reverend J.W. Haywood of Hamburg officiating. Burial was at Lakeview cemetery.
