John Loyd Jr.
John Daniel Loyd Jr, age 75, entered into eternal life Wednesday, September 6, 2016 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Mr. Loyd was born May 29, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma the son of Mildred (Pruitt) and John Loyd Sr. He served his country proudly in the Marines. Loyd enjoyed riding horses and fishing, every November he his buddies would go on a fishing trip. He loved Sunday dinners with his family. He was known for his keen sense of humor and tremendous capacity to spread laughter to whomever he encountered. He would joke about the Cowboys and the cooking for Sunday dinners. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Loyd is survived by his sister, Dava Larrick of California; sister-in-law, Sharon Loyd of Denison, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Wayne Loyd and Benny Loyd.
Mr. Loyd will be cremated according to his wishes. A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
