Mr. Shea retired in 1963 after serving over 22 years in the Navy. He was a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 13 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Falsington. Burial was at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth J. Coleman and Rose Marie Seekamp; three sons, Charles A. Jr., Dennis P., and Daniel G. Also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Catherine Mc Nichol and Agnes Croke.
