Guy Watson Harris, age 93, lifelong resident of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016. He was born on April 27, 1923, in Dallas, GA, to the late James Willis Harris & Lola Palmer Harris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jane Camp Harris; brothers, Herman Harris, Walter Eugene Harris, James Wilbur Harris; sister, Eula Mae Harris; granddaughter, Jana Harris.
Mr. Harris was a U.S. Navy veteran & served in WWII. He retired after 39 years of service from GA Power Corporation and was a retired member from IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). Mr. Harris attended First United Methodist Church of Dallas.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bruce & Susan Harris of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Jamie Harris, Paige Camp & husband, Joseph; great-grandchildren, Jameson Tubb, Ailey Savage, Harlie Camp; several nieces & nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 3:00 PM, at Dallas Memory Gardens
Per Mr. Harris' wishes, no public visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First U.M.C. of Dallas or Concord Baptist Church in memory of Guy Watson Harris.
