Born on January 25, 1952 in Sacramento, CA, he was the 5th of 6 children born to Wesley and Gladys McAllister. He married Evelyne Touzeau, the love of his life, in 1974. He loved spending time with his family. It didn't matter whether it was going out for an ice cream, playing cards, camping, or just watching his grandkids play, he just wanted to be with them.
He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, scouting, and especially camping at Patrick's Point State Park. He loved the sound of water and could be found out in his sun room falling asleep to the falling rain or enjoying the sounds of the ocean.
For the majority of his life he worked for the family business, Macs Products, machining products for locations all over the world. He eventually became the president and owner.
He was known as the man behind the camera, preferring to take pictures instead of being in them. His pictures tell the story of his life, full of family, beauty, laughter, and love.
A viewing is scheduled from 9:00 - 10:30am Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 1101 51st Street, Sacramento, CA 95819. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Sierra Hills Memorial Park & East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841.
