Ricardo V Aguilar was one of at least four children born to Ignacio and Maria Villavicencio Aguilar in Cananea, Mexico. They were Ricardo, Imelda, Maria Eva and Jose' Aguilar. Ignacio Aguilar was noted for being a musician. Ignacio and his family arrived in Ajo in 1917. Ricardo married Josefa Flores in 1934. Josefa was born in Caborca, Mexico. By the time of the 1940 census Ricardo was working as a laborer for the Ajo copper mine. The family, including Cecilia (5), Hector (4) and Delia (1) were living in the Mexican Town section of Ajo. Ricardo died in 1986 and Josefa passed away in 1991. They were laid to rest at the Ajo Cemetery.
