Diana H. Robertson, 74, of 101 Vogel Ave., died Aug. 26, 2016, at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.

She was born Sept. 10, 1941, in Ottumwa to Russell W. Harper and Elaine Kent Harper Wormhoudt. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1959 and Grinnell College in 1963. She married Douglas Robertson on Aug. 6, 1966, at the First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa.

She taught English at Ottumwa High School for 12 years and spent the next 30 as a substitute teacher at OHS and Evans Middle School. She was a member of PEO Chapter HC, Irving Club, several bridge clubs and spent many years on the board of directors of the Iowa Junior Miss scholarship program. Diana was very active in the Ottumwa community as part of committees, groups and clubs.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Robertson; daughter Paula (Dan) Buck of Anamosa; two grandchildren, Kate and Craig; and Jim Wehr of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Marian Kent Skarstad.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church; Pastor David Klanderman officiating. Burial will be held at Ottumwa Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society or First Presbyterian Church.
