She was born Dec. 20, 1962, in Waterloo, daughter of Richard J. and Judith A. Loga Hintz.
Survivors include: her father of Waterloo; a son, Justin Smock of Waterloo; a daughter, Melissa Smock of Waterloo; a brother, Thomas Hintz of Rosemount, Minn.; two sisters, Cindy (Richard) Butler of Las Vegas and Tammy Hintz of Cedar Rapids; Niece; Amanda, Nephews; Michael Hintz, Andrew Hintz, and Mathew Thompson.
Preceded in death by: her mother; and a brother, James Hintz.
