Emma was the daughter of Carl Friedrich Ludwig OHM and Fredericka Caroline EHLCKER or EHLICKE, who were both natives of Rheinsberg.

Carl and Fredericka had four children (all born at Rheinsberg); surname Ohm:

1. Wilhelmina Friedericke Pauline, b. 12 Nov. 1844, d. unmarried aft. 1931
2. Auguste Caroline Charlotte, b. 9 Oct. 1848, d. 1931

Her father, Carl, born 18 August 1819, was the son of Ludwig OHM (1797-1851) and Wilhelmina DIECKMANN (1789- ). Ludwig and Wilhelmina had three known children (born at Rheinsberg, Germany), surname Ohm: 1. Friedericke Luise Caroline, b. 22 Feb. 1818, married Johann Carl Friedrich LAUDAN 12 November 1884 at Rheinsberg, 2. Carl Friedrich Ludwig, b. 19 August 1819, 3. Ferdinand Friedrich Wilhelm, b. 21 March 1822.

Her mother, Fredericka, was born in Brandenburg, Germany in 1820. Her parents are currently not known.

Her parents married at Rheinsberg in 1846.

Emma's grandfather, Ludwig OHM, was born at Rheinsberg about 1797, died there 14 July 1851.

Emma's great-grandfather, Johann OHM, was born about 1767.

Her Obituary

Mrs. Emma Ulrich, 89, a resident of Two Rivers for more than 62 years, died at Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, where she had resided since last November.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. W. G. Haase officiating. Interment will be in Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Ulrich, nee Emma Ohm, was born in Rheinsberg, province of Brandenburg, Germany, in 1863. She was married in Germany to F. William Ulrich 65 years ago and the couple came to this country in 1891, settling in a home along the East Twin River near the harbor. Mr. Ulrich died in Two Rivers in 1909.

Surviving Mrs. Ulrich are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Arnemann of Two Rivers and Mrs. Flora Lauretsen of Milwaukee; and four sons, Otto and Berhardt of Two Rivers, Carl of Chicago and Martin Ulrich of Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

For many years Mrs. Ulrich was active in the affairs of St. John Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

Friends may call at the Beduhn, Deja & Martin Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be removed to the church where the body will lie in state until the time of services.
