William L. Perkins 1929 ~ 2012 William Lorenzo Perkins, age 83, passed peacefully at home, with his loved ones at his side, on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Born August 4, 1929 in Blanding, San Juan County, Utah, to Earl Hanson and Tamar Ann Young Perkins. Sealed to his life-long sweetheart, Fae Anderton, in the Manti Temple on February 29, 1952. Served in the US Army from 1952-54 and participated in the Korean War. Worked for Hill Air Force Base for three years and retired from the US Forest Service after 25 years of service. Bill was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two year mission from 1949-51 in the Western Canadian Mission. He has served faithfully in numerous callings throughout his life. Many benefitted from his willingness to give of himself and especially his great sense of humor. His greatest loves were his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fae; 5 daughters: Patricia (Gary) Bryant, Marilyn (Steve) Bosen, Ruth Ann (Brent) Christensen, Mary Kae Perkins, Kathryn (Steve) Warren; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Erline Frost; brothers, Stephen and George Perkins. Preceded in death by his parents; and older brother Kloyd Perkins. A special thanks from all those who love Bill, to niece, Jana Carter for her special care, and to the Harmony Home Health and Hospice workers, Debra, Lindsay and Mario, who gave him such kind and thoughtful care.
