He was born March 2, 1939, in Paducah, Kentucky to Paul and Pauline Hooper Lynch.
He was a retired oil field employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda Lynch, a son Robert Elwood, a grandson Timmy Joe Lynch, Jr., and three sisters, Betty Wilcox, Judy Whitaker, and Pauletta Maupin.
He is survived by three sons, Dale Lynch and wife Jackie of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Tim Lynch and wife Margaret of McEwen, Tennessee, and Jimmie Elwood of Bakersfield, California; four daughters, Dianne Lynch Cannon of Dickson, Tennessee, Donna Turner and husband Donald of Ozark, Christine East and husband Hank of Joshua Tree, California,and Cindy Gordon and husband Dave of Tujunga, California; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; longtime friend Bobby Nichols; and his beloved pet Niki.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ricky Jackson officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Jackie and Terry Nichols, D.J. and Tyler Turner, Jessie Lindsey, and Matthew Lewis.
