Ida Lee Hunter

Ida Lee Hunter, 89, of Roscoe died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, in the Roscoe Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in the First Baptist Church in Roscoe with the Rev. Caleb Teeters officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Roscoe.

Immediately following the graveside service, the family will be at the church for visitation.

Mrs. Hunter was born on Nov. 9, 1917. She married Johnathan B. Hunter on Feb. 11, 1939, in Roscoe. Mrs. Hunter was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roscoe. She was a LVN and worked for the Roscoe ISD and Simmons Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hunter lived in Roscoe since 1939 and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Candy Smith and her husband, Jimmy W., of Plano, and Linda Hunter of Corpus Christi; one son, Benny D. Hunter and his wife, Judy, of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter-in-law, Carole Hunter of Belen, N.M.; one sister, Oleta Perry of Pauls Valley, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Hunter, on Feb. 28, 1982; and one son, Larry Hunter, in 1991.
