He is survived by two sons; four granddaughters; three brothers, Ted, Allan and Gerald Victor "Vic" Mitchell; three sisters, Phyllis Failing, Anita Smith and Joan Hudson. He was predeceased by an infant sister, Shirley Jean Mitchell.
