STEPHEN PATRICK HAYNES passed away on August 31, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 29, 1942 to Charles Preston Haynes and Lucy Burbridge Haynes.
Steve graduated from Lamar University in 1965 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. He also obtained his Professional Engineering License in 1966. Steve’s engineering career included many projects spanning 42 years and included assignments as I&E engineer, Safety Engineer, Project Engineer/Manager and also as head of Electrical Engineering Department at various plants, refineries and E&C companies.
Steve loved his family and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Charles and his beloved daughter Amanda Kay.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; loving and devoted daughter, Kimberly; brother, Greg and his wife Linda; sister-in-law, Patricia Sealey; grandson, Shelby Stephen Bruce; granddaughter, Holly Ann Bruce; granddaughter, Faith Foster; and great-grandson Lane Wilson.
He is also survived by nephews, Charles Stephen Haynes and Brian Haynes; and nieces, Monica Deese, Amy Leal and Lisa Abellara.
Mass will be held on September 10, 2016 at St. Charles Borromero Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Alvin, Texas on September 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
