HAROLD RAY SMITH passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of 67.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Okla., under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Harold was born March 18, 1939, to Clarence and Gladys Smith in Ryan, Oklahoma. He attended Diamond School just west of Comanche. Harold was a farmer and cattle puncher for Royce Rochell.
Harold tickled all that knew him with his practical jokes and stories. There wasn't a nurse that knew him or took care of him that wasn't in love with him. He was a man of his word, which was a binding bond.
Harold took care of his mother and father until they passed. His latest dream was to travel with one of his best friends in their motor home and see the world, or at least more than Stephens County. He wanted to visit his favorite sister, Bettie, in Norman. He loved to deer hunt with his friend, Joel. Harold will be missed greatly by his friends and family circle.
Harold is survived by a brother, Rudy William Smith of Bristow, Okla.; three sisters, Bettie Jean Glenn of Norman, Okla., Dorothy Mae Blaylock of Tishomingo, Okla., and Helen Beth Bross of Clinton, Okla.; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patsy Ann Davis.
Pallbearers will be Royce Rochell, Roy Rochell, Joel Petty, Robert Petty, Clarence Murry, Ronnie Smithson and Randall Scott.
