Jeremy Paul Rogers, 24, of Brookneal, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006.
Jeremy was born Aug. 19, 1982, in Lynchburg, son of Douglas C. and Janet Hendren Rogers of Brookneal.
He was an honor graduate of Lynchburg Christian Academy and attended Thomas Road Baptist Church. He worked as an electrician. He spent his spare time in the outdoors pursuing his loves of hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Justin Rogers; his grandparents, Benny and Betty Rogers and Richard and Nancy Hendren; his aunts and uncles, Allen and Debbie Rogers, David and Kathy Rogers, Carol and Bruce Holt, Ronnie and Sherry Blanks, Joe and Linda Owen, and Cokie Davidson; and his cousins, Brian, Allison, Blake, and Brandon Rogers, Derek Rogers, Kelly and Christian Tabor, Jordan Holt, Brandy and E.G. Peters, Landon, Aimee, Isaiah, and Elijah Blanks, Amanda and Tony Baldassari, Lindsey, Ryan, and Breyden Parnell, Ryan Blanks, Dakota Blanks, and Tyler Davidson.
He was preceded in death by an aunt, Kim Davidson.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and other times at the residence at 109 Juniper Cliff Rd., Brookneal.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carl Weiser and the Rev. Brad Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Concord.
