She is survived by her devoted companion, Jerry Nelson, three sons, one daughter, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, two sisters, husband, a first cousin, and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Dexter Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Michelle Yvette Julien Scott was born January 2, 1957, to Jordan Freeman and Juanita Julien in Galveston, Texas.
Michelle graduated from Ball High School with the Class of 1974. She retired from The Meridian Retirement Community formerly known as Edgewater Retirement Community after 30 plus years as a chef. She loved cooking, crabbing, playing spades, knitting and especially loving on her grandkids and great grandchild.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Johnny Edward; sisters, Yvonne Antione and Jackie Walker; and great aunt, Johnnie Lee Jackson.
Michelle departed this life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at UTMB-Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.
