Casey Odell Davis Reynolds, 91, of Fortson, GA died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Columbus Specialty Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with Reverend Norman Dunlap and Reverend Ashley Randall officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 25, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Reynolds was born December 16, 1916 in Jackson County, AL to the late Otis and Rebecca Davis. She graduated from Old Industrial High School in 1933 and retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benning as an Accountant. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Good News Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the XYZ Club and the St. James Sunday School Class at St. Mark. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the SAC club at Hamilton United Methodist Church and a member of the Cataula Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Reynolds, Sr., six siblings, and numerous in-laws. Survivors include a daughter, Julia Weekes and her husband, Bill, of Fortson; a son, William E. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Dot, of Columbus; six granddaughters, Katherine Weekes, Karen Weekes and her husband, Joe Benhabib, Karla Smolen and her husband, Mark, Dawn Hill and her husband, Ronnie, Tammy Shelley and her husband, Bert, and Angela Lee and her husband, Billy; six great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
