Wesley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glenn Tucker, in Dallas. he had been in Failing health for the past year.
A native Texan, he was born December 15, 1870, at Gatesville, and was married to Sarah Frances Ward at Meneriva January 24, 1896. They lived in Milam County 12 years and a short time in San Saba, Brown and Eastland counties before moving to Moran nine years ago. In 1939 they moved to Albany and after his wife's death, he made his home with his children. Mr. Coates was an active member of the Church of Christ for many years.
