Graveside services for D.D. "Bubba" Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2016, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Dr. Don Walker officiating, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

D. D. "Bubba" Johnson, 86, of Tyler passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016, following a lengthy illness.

Bubba was born on September 4, 1930, in Athens to Jim Sid and Hiram Delay Johnson.

Bubba served as a territory manager for Wm. Cameron Wholesale in Tyler (a division of Certainteed Corp.) for 36 years, prior to his retirement in 1996. A devoted Christian, he was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and the Masonic Starr Lodge No. 118 of Winona for more than 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Johnson and Harold Johnson, all of Winona.

Bubba is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Christie Johnson of Tyler; son, Danny Delay Johnson of Tyler; daughter, Christie Johnson Lebl and son-in-law Duane C. Lebl Jr., of Memphis; grandsons, Taylor Galvin, Christopher Galvin and Alex Lebl of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Shirley Christie of Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.
