Charles “Charlie” Robert Koon, Jr., age 72, of Acworth, Georgia, died September 4, 2016. Mr. Koon was born in Perry, Florida, and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Koon retired from AT&T after 30 years of service and later founded All South Electrical Constructors Inc. with his son Chuck, located in Cartersville, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara Koon, son Chuck and his wife Dawn of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren Erica Trivette (Jody) of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Sean Williams (Tiffany) of Cartersville, Georgia. and Chad Koon (Erica) of Cartersville, Georgia. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Elizabeth Williams and Carter Koon.
A visitation was held for Mr. Koon at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services, 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, GA. A second visitation was held with the funeral following in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. Burial was at the Arlington Park Cemetery.
